There is no option to install Mavericks - no banner, no option in search, nothing. But I am not able to upgrade to Mavaricks either. But when I try to install Catalina (banner in app store) it says, "This update requires mac os 10.9 or later" I understand I will have to install Mavericks first. I know my late 2012 mac mini supports Catalina update.Īnyhow I thought I would be able to upgrade to Catalina from App store. I was hoping Apple would provide me an option to download the latest Catalina but they simply loaded Mountain Lion. I added a new SSD in my late 2012 Mac Mini, then installed OS from recovery (internet) and got Mountain Lion installed on my Mac Mini.
